In my day job, one of the signs of progress and health is the ability to look at a situation as it is, without either catastrophizing OR denial. So yes, sometimes the goal of the next set of therapy is to come to terms with a terminal diagnosis or the end of a relationship.
Simplest version
- 2 tubes of ready to use polenta
- 2ish cups cooked chicken, shredded/diced
- 2 3 oz cans chopped green chiles (Hatch are best, to your heat tastes — start with mild)
- 1 small onion, chopped fine
- 1 12 oz bag frozen corn
- 8 oz shredded cheese (colby, jack, Muenster, or “mexican blend” are fine) (or more)
- 2-3 oz cream cheese or sour cream (or more, if you want it creamier)
- 1 tsp cumin (or to taste)
- 2 cloves garlic, smashed
- 2 tsp chili powder (to taste and tolerance)

People who dismiss what the von Westphalen & Marx families did to Helene Demuth just prove to me they have no concept of what working women experienced in the 19th century. More importantly, they don’t value working women, and never have.

Hey, let’s talk about a couple of terms that are going around: “cradle to gate cost” and “end of life cost”. (Also sometimes “cradle to grave cost”). Cradle to gate measures what an item costs to manufacture, ship and get through the point of sale. Tracking stops after sale.

Koldony seems to miss a major factor in opiates use: demographics. His favorite statistic is opiate use increased drastically starting in 1997. (Koldony is the founder of the anti-opioid activist group Physicians for Responsible Opioid Prescribing (PROP) and makes a tidy fortune as an expert witness in opiate litigation.)
